A tour through vineyards, woods and the village
Nature walk through the vineyards, woods and the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. Suitable for all the family, this can also be done on a mountain bike.

SANTENAY

The Hamlet of Saint Jean Narosse
Visit the tiny 15 C Church of Saint Jean Narosse nestled into the tranquil hamlet of Santenay. The Château de Santenay and the moulin Sorine are also worth a visit.

CHAGNY

Cycle/ Roller Blade path
Great paved path that begins in Chalon sur Sâone and follows the Canal du Centre with its countless locks right through to Saint Leger sur Dheune (approx 60 km). You can access the path in Santenay, Remigny or Chagny.

Château de Couches
Visit the medieval chateau of Marguerite de Bourgogne. Excellent guided tour that includes the underground passageways and ammunition reserves. Winetasting and purchase of the chateau's wines also available.

Sylvie et François Fresnais make colourful, rustic pottery and decorative art. Worth a visit.

Charming old village
Ancient village with its dolmens and tumuli. Visite the pagan temple and the 11 C church that houses many remarkable statues.

Climb up the Mont Sene ( the hill of the three crosses ) and enjoy the 360° view. An ideal spot for hang gliding, kite/ model airplane flying and picnics. On a very clear day you can even see Mont Blanc in the distance.

Natural cirque with spectacular cliffs, caves and nature walks. Hike the steep winding paths through the forest all the way to the top of the cirque and back down the other side. Lovely picnic spot.
